Dirndl Steinfeld Shades of Grey by Marjo

Beautiful dress with lots of interest due to the use of various shades of grey in the brocade bodice, which are then picked up by the skirt and apron – both of which also have great texture.  The contemporary foliage print on the bodice incorporates both warm and cool shades of grey against an off-white ground; some of the elements have a little more sheen than others which gives real dimension to the fabric.

The skirt portion picks up the cooler grey tones in an allover tonal frond/fan motif brocade; while the apron is a tonal chevron stripe in a slightly warmer grey.

Skirt portion measures 70 cm/27.5 inches from waist to hem to fall below the knee on most women of average height and proportions.
